Reviewing
and improving the export process
The objective behind the 21 steps that
we have provided you on ExportHelp, is to help you deal
in a logical and structured way with the many issues that
you will face as you take on the challenge of exporting.
Clearly, not all of these steps will be applicable in the
same way to every exporter. The character of the industry
that you operate in. the peculiarities of your firm and
the nature of the foreign marketplace will all influence
your "ideal" export process.
It is therefore important that you revisit the export process
and pick and choose only those relevant steps and adapt
them in a way that is meaningful to your firm. Once you
have identified the issues important to you, you need to
re-evaluate your initial input and adapt your export plan
accordingly. In fact, it is a matter of good management
to regularly revisit your export plan, stepping through
each task and taking the latest developments, challenges
and opportunities into consideration and adapting your export
objectives and strategies accordingly.
